What started out as an attempt to create a sauce that would get our kids to eat turned into three sauces and two rubs that we hope you all will enjoy. It was a two year process of love that Ed & Gloria went through in creating our signature product - Ed's Misdemeanor Barrr-B-Q Sauce. For over a year we gave away samples to friends and family and were told the same thing by them all, "You need to start selling this stuff!" As a result, Ed's Barrr-B-Q was formed in early 2005.

We had our sauces and rubs that we wanted to sell; our next step was coming up with a theme for these products. Gloria has a coworker that LOVES Ed's sauces, his thick Boston accent gave us the idea for Barrr-B-Q. Looking at these R's made us think of the bars of a jail cell, which led to the slogan "The Taste You Can't Escape!" From here we took a different aspect of jail\prison for the product lines & individual products. For the sauces it was different charges: Misdemeanor, Manslaughter and Murder One. The rubs were named after types of incarceration: Minimum Security and Death Row. The entire process has been a family affair.

We recently celebrated our first anniversary here, we opened for take-out only August 18th 2008. We continued our jail house theme in the restaurant, mugshots adorn the walls (including Ed & Rob), razor wire covers the top of the walls and we built a jail cell upstairs in Cell Block B. On October 15th we will celebrate one full year of dine-in. Please check back for specials and party information so you can celebrate with us.
